After a couple of weeks of rain, California is experiencing colder but dry days. The precipitation was welcomed since most of CA is still in extreme drought. We are starting to see some spring flowers come back, albeit slowly.
LA, Asiatic and Oriental lilies production is good but not in heavy supply.
Gerbera are in limited supply.
Snapdragons and Stock are available.
Waxflower is now in season, we are seeing more varieties enter the market weekly. Weather permitting, waxflower should be readily available for VDay.
Larkspur will be extremely limited and should start returning slowly by the end of January.
Lisianthus is not available.
Delphinium is not available but Bella is starting to come back.
Iris and tulips are in good production.
Glads are generally not available.
Sunflower production is returning from Baja. Fillers are always limited during January.
QA lace, Green mist, solidago, Genistra and Fever Few are available.
Matsumotos are not available.
Upright and hanging amaranths are available but limited.
Hydrangea is available in antique varieties.
Kale is now available in white, lavender, green and purple.
Several Leucadendron varieties are in season now.
Many Protea are in season.
Mini Cymbidiums and Cymbidiums are now in season.
Hyacinths, anemones and ranunculus are just starting for Winter.
Dusty miller seems to be in better supply this month.
Eucalyptus is starting to change slowly. We are seeing seeded start to go to flower/cup. Hopefully that transition will happen post VDay. Baby Blue, parvafolia, gunni, willow and silver dollar are available.
