California is still experiencing cool and dry weather. This has helped to make VDay shipping a little smoother. It has not increased production or changed our expectations about availability. January and early February are always the slowest growing period for CA. We will see a shift the third week of February.
LA, Asiatic and Oriental lilies production is good but not in heavy supply.
Gerbera are in very limited supply.
Snapdragons and Stock are available but not huge supply.
Waxflower is available and looking exceptional for February.
Larkspur is extremely limited but starting to come from Baja.
Lisianthus is not available.
Delphinium is not available but Bella is starting to come back.
Iris and tulips are in good production.
Glads are extremely limited.
Sunflower production is returning from Baja. Fillers are starting to return, slowly.
QA lace, Green mist, solidago, and Fever Few are available.
Matsumotos are not available.
Saxicola is starting to become available.
Heather has been a difficult item so far this year, mainly due to rain in December and freezes in January.
Margarite daisies are starting to come in from Baja.
Upright and hanging amaranths are available but limited.
Kale is now available in white, lavender, green and purple.
Several Leucadendron varieties are in season now.
Many Protea are in season and Pincushion are returning.
Mini Cymbidiums and Cymbidiums are now in season.
Hyacinths are going to be limited for the next two weeks.
Anemones and ranunculus are available.
Dusty miller is still limited this month.
Eucalyptus is starting to change slowly. We are seeing seeded start to go to flower/ cup. Baby Blue, parvafolia, gunni, willow and silver dollar are available.
Blooming branches are just starting out, first with Quince. Cherry, peach and apricot should follow in the coming weeks.
