11 team members from David Beahm Experiences  were sent a secretly hand-picked box of speciality cut flowers and asked to create an arrangement of their choice.  We then informed the team that they will be competing against each other, as our audience will get to vote on the best design and crown the “DVCrush For A Cause Design Champion.”

We also asked each one to pick a “cause” that is near and dear to their hearts.  DVFlora will donate a set prize amount to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.

CAUSE: Sing For Hope

Bio: Known for his inventive work and trademark lavish flower creations, he has designed countless weddings for society, high profile and discerning clients, including Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas, as well as a host of celebrity and Fortune 500 corporate events.  When he’s not producing events, David stays grounded by keeping his hands in the dirt growing wildflowers, production flowers, herbs and vegetables on his farm, Thistle Dew Farm in Quakertown, Pennsylvania.

CAUSE: Susan G Komen

Bio:  Ryan “Q” Razori has been a part of Team Beahm for three years, and does project management for all that is DB Production. Originally from North Carolina, she has found splendor in both New York City and the South of France.  She hates being rushed, and loves her husband and a good closet purge.

CAUSE: Housing Works

Bio:  Ryan is the Creative Director of David Beahm Experiences and has been design-obsessed since 11 years of age when he began saving his allowance money to buy Wallpaper* magazine.  An unassuming, rakish lumberjack: while obtaining his BFA in Interior Design from Massachusetts College of Art, Ryan also served in the Army Reserves.  In the over seventeen years since, Ryan has been a visionary force within the special events industry; creating luxurious and stylish environments for discerning clientele, including celebrities, U.S. Presidents, royalty and sports figures.  When not overseeing the most complex of event installations, Ryan keeps busy fueling his obsessions for everything nautical, James Bond, and modern furniture design.  

CAUSE: Daniel’s Grace

Bio:  Splitting his time between Pennsylvania, New York City, other destinations with David Beahm Experiences. He also maintains, operates with David his farm called “Thistle Dew” in Bucks County Pennsylvania. “ Growing beautiful  flowers on the farm, to designing it is hard to decide which I love more!”

CAUSE: Make-A-Wish Foundation

Bio:  Sami Horneff (Company Manager) has been a member of Team Beahm since 2014. A born and raised New Yorker, she is a proud graduate of Brown University and has been obsessed with the wedding industry for as long as she can remember. When she’s not herding cats over at David Beahm Experiences, she can probably be found writing lyrics or music for the theatre – her new musical, Single Rider, will premiere this May Off Broadway.

CAUSE: Make-A-Wish Foundation

Bio: David “DJ” Ascano is a designer at David Beahm Experiences and has been creating memorable events and flights of fancy with the DB team since 2014.  DJ has always had a flair for the fabulous, fun and refined with the goal of elegant solutions in mind, synthesizing his experience in graphic design, fashion and industrial design.   Despite how cold it may be, DJ never misses an opportunity to enjoy an ice cream cone (preferably mint chocolate chip).

CAUSE: Comfort Zone Camp

Bio:  David’s “Number Two.”  Executive Director of David Beahm Destinations, Christina Matteucci plays an integral role within the special event industry as David Beahm’s right hand for 16 years. She is directly responsible for supervising every destination event (as well as larger New York area events) from beginning to end, ensuring that both David’s and the client’s expectations are consistently met and regularly exceeded.   Often the first person expanding designers and planners call, asking, “How do I find a Christina?”

CAUSE: Congregation Saint Thomas de Villeneuve

Bio:  Julian Razori recently moved to New York City and became part of the Beahm family last January. Born in Italy, he grew up on the French Riviera, and found the Big Apple to sink his teeth into!  He loves his wife and night photography. But most of all, he cannot spend a day without eating pasta!

CAUSE: Doctor’s Without Borders

Bio:  Krys is the Chief Financial Officer of David Beahm Experiences and is currently traveling abroad.  

CAUSE: A.S.P.C.A.

Bio:  Timothy has been a member of Team Beahm for 11 years. The team’s Senior Designer/Producer, he is also the resident naughty jokester. With a background in scenic design, Timothy is a whimsical visionary and the sketch master of the group. He loves his rescue cat, Mimsy.
