DVFlora Emails- We have made a change to our Email marketing system. Besides sporting a new look, the new system will allow you to choose which emails you receive starting next week.. Currently there are 3 separate lists. We will add more over time so you can fine tune what offers and information you receive. If you’re not a subscriber or if you unsubscribed in the past because you were getting too many emails, you can now subscribe right on the Welcome Screen of dvflora.com, and only stay signed up to see the offers you really want to see.

Roses
Another Valentine’s Day is in the history books. Hopefully everyone had a solid holiday. The market has just about returned to non-holiday conditions. There is a good supply of Reds and Colors in the market and prices are back to normal.
Novelties
Peonies– We still have peonies available from Israel but colors and varieties are limited. This week we will have Alex Fleming, Sara B, Duchess and Immaculee.
Stock– Stock is in good supply and demand has dropped considerably. Prices from the growers are all over the place so it seems to be taking a little time for the market to settle down.
Waxflower– Regular Waxflower is now very reasonably priced, but the new and hybrid varieties remain high. Some growers have chosen to let the plants be until they see a larger percentage of flowers open. This is a good thing. Hopefully in 10 to 12 days we will be back to 80% flowering.
Heather- Malanthra Heather is now finished and the White will be ending soon. The short hot pink has been done for a while.
Snapdragons– Production is good on California Snaps, especially on White. Canadian snaps are limited and prices are high so we will be buying the Canadian conservatively.
Stephanotis- Production in California is still limited, but we have been supplementing with Canadian and they have been very nice, and a little larger than the Steph from California. We can also get Stephanotis on the vine. They are about 3-4 feet long and have lots of blooms. The come nice and securely packaged.
Basics
With the Valentines Holiday over it will take a week or so for things to normalize on most items. Anything that was showing color was cut and shipped for Valentines delivery. This generally means there will most likely be a gap in production of 7 to 10 days on a few items.
Alstro/Carnation/Mini Carns– We expect to have a fairly good supply for next week. A few of the harder to find varieties will not be available as anything showing color was shipped for the Valentines Holiday.
Lilies– Two Bloom Oriental Lilies remain in tight supply and Oriental Lilies in general will be limited in supply for the remainder of next week, but we should have a good supply of LA’s and Asiatic.
Limonium and Statice– Limonium and Statice will be more limited in supply as anything showing color was shipped for Valentines. Lavender, Pink and White Statice will be VERY limited for the next two weeks.
Mums/Pom Pons- Pom Pons are in plentiful supply for next week. Disbud mums will be somewhat limited.
