MOTHER’S DAY FLOWER CARE TIPS…
Mother’s Day is peak season, and as we all know, things can get pretty hectic. It’s also when you need the best possible vase life from your flowers. FloraLife is here to help! Their easy flower care system makes it simple to provide long-lasting flowers and make customers happy!

1. Keep it cold & keep it clean
Temperature has the biggest impact on flower life, so make sure your flowers are stored somewhere cool, ideally between 34-38°F, 1-3°C with 75-85% humidity.
Secondly, if nasty bacteria get into your flower stems, they won’t survive as long as they should, so clean all tools, surfaces, and containers with FloraLife® D.C.D.® Cleaner. It’s safe to use around flowers (and people!) and won’t smell or stain like bleach.

2. Give tired flowers a boost
Chances are your flowers have come a long way to get to you,
and (just like us on a long journey), they will be tired, dehydrated, and hungry!
In a clean container, pour enough FloraLife® Quick Dip to submerge stem ends.
Cut 1” or 3cm from the bottom and dip for 2-3 seconds to jumpstart fresh-cut flower hydration
and improve flower food solution uptake.

3. Time to eat
After stems have been treated with FloraLife® Quick Dip, using FloraLife Crystal Clear® Flower Food or FloraLife® Express 300 Flower Food gives flowers exactly what they need. Stems will be hydrated and nourished, water will be kept cleaner for longer, and with EXPRESS technology, you don’t even need to re-cut stems, saving you all too precious time!

The ultimate time-saver? Use FloraLife® QuickMix Handheld Dosing System to dose your buckets
quickly and accurately – no plumbing required!
4. Always add the Finishing Touch
Just a few spritzes before flowers head out of the shop will hydrate and protect the natural freshness
of fresh-cut flowers and extend the customer’s enjoyment!

5. Secure your flowers
Once flowers leave your shop, there’s nothing you can do to help keep them alive and thriving, right? …WRONG!
Always send bouquets out with a FloraLife® Express Flower Food packet – the recipient just needs to add the contents of the packet to their vase water, and voila! No need to re-cut stems making this your best insurance policy. A happy customer is a repeat customer!

Pro Tip: For bouquets and vase arrangements shipped in water, you can also add flower food directly to the water using the FloraLife® QuickMix Handheld Dosing Unit (DV Code S6923).
