Vice President Joe Biden tours a flower farm in Bogota, Colombia. The flower farm provides good jobs to the community, and has a predominately female labor force. Also, 60% of their product to the United States. This stop was on May 27th 2013 during the Vice President’s trip to South America.
Regarding his visit to Colombia, the Vice President pointed out: “The progress has been made, not just in access the US market, which is increasing, but also in decent, good paying jobs. We see a future, not just Colombia, for the hemisphere”.
Regarding flowers he said: “My wife is extremely passion for flowers and roses are her favorite. So, my advice to all of you married man, no matter how long you have been married, continue to court your wife. You know is good”.
