Approximately 700 attendees from all over New England and beyond converged in Cromwell CT on March 6-7th for the 2010 NorthEast Floral Expo, a production of the CT Florists Association. Two days of Workshops, Design Shows, Business Clinics and Trade Fair created excitement and enthusiasm for all who participated. The Trade Fair was full and spectacular.
Three design shows by Joyce Mason-Monheim (sponsored by Teleflora) Deborah De La FLor (sponsored by FTD) and Rene Van Rems (sponsored by DVWF and Smithers Oasis) were held on the Trade Fair floor on Sunday and were included in the registration package. If you couldn’t make it this year, be sure to save some time for next year! Workshops were filled and some had standing room only, a sure sign that shops are anxious to learn new techniques in sales and design and apply them to daily use in their shops. DV’s Sue Muldoon’s business clinic on Photos and Social Networking was sold out.
Delaware Valley Wholesale Florist’s Booth won BEST IN SHOW for a multiple booth! Be sure to check out the pictures on Facebook.
DV was thrilled to be a part of the show and we were pleased to be able to meet a lot of our new New England customers and showcase our products and programs including dvflora.com and Grower’s Direct.
Design Competition winners were DV customers! Susan Festa from The Pink Petunia in Cheshire CT won the Masters Competition and Jorge Uribe from Fleur De Lys Floral & Gift shop in New Haven won the State Competition. Congratulations to them and thank you for putting your trust in our products for your designs. Thanks go to all who participated in the competitions, it was stunning.
